Widgets for iPhone and iPad
A Bible Verse Widget for iPhone, with Quotes Alongside
Keep a verse where you’ll see it all day. Well Said’s widgets put Bible verses on your Home Screen and Lock Screen, next to quotes from the writers you love.
Three widgets to choose from
- For You shows quotes chosen for you each day. Turn on Bible verses in Settings and verses are part of the mix, alongside quotes on the themes you pick, such as Faith & spirituality.
- Library moves through the quotes and verses you’ve saved most recently, so your screen shows the words you chose to keep.
- Single quote keeps one saved verse or quote in place until you change it. Pick it a verse for the season you’re in.
Each comes in small and medium sizes for the Home Screen and a rectangular size for the Lock Screen. Well Said doesn’t have a verses-only feed. If you want only Scripture on your screen, save a verse and keep it on the Single quote widget; the Library widget mixes in everything you’ve saved recently.

How to add a Bible verse widget
Choose what the widget shows

- Tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Well Said.
- Choose For You, Library, or Single quote, pick a size, and tap Add Widget.

- Tap the area below the clock, find Well Said, and choose a widget.
The For You widget works within Well Said’s free allowance. The Library and Single quote widgets come with a subscription.
Verses to start with
Short verses read best on a small screen. These are from the World English Bible, the translation Well Said uses.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
This is the day that Yahweh has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!
For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.
Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.
In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
Why verses next to quotes
Plenty of people who read Scripture also keep lines from Lincoln, Seneca, or Emily Dickinson. Well Said keeps them in one place instead of three apps. For examples of how they speak to each other, see quotes and Bible verses for hard times and Stoicism and Christianity.
