The app

What is Well Said?

A quotes app for iPhone and iPad. Describe any moment and it finds real quotes that fit. It also picks quotes for you each day, shows them on your Home Screen and Lock Screen, and keeps quotes, Bible verses, and your own words in one library.

Is Well Said free?

You can try Find, Ask, Write, and For You with limited free allowances. A subscription replaces those allowances and unlocks more, such as the Library and Single quote widgets and notifications from your library. AI features remain subject to a weekly fair-use allowance and service availability. The app’s subscription screen shows current prices and any free trial. The app is licensed under Apple’s Standard License Agreement.

Which devices does it work on?

iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later, and your library syncs between them. It isn’t on Mac, Apple Vision Pro, or Android.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Sign in with Apple keeps your Library, preferences, and subscription on all your devices. With Hide My Email, we only see Apple’s private relay address.

Does it work offline?

Your Library works offline and syncs when you reconnect. Finding and asking about quotes need a connection.

Can I share my subscription with my family?

No. It covers the Apple Account that bought it, on all of that account’s iPhones and iPads.

Is Well Said related to WellSaid Labs?

No. WellSaid Labs is an unrelated company that makes AI voices.

Quotes and Bible verses

Where do the quotes come from?

Well Said has its own collection of quotes and Bible verses, drawn from public sources such as Wikiquote. When you describe a moment, it also searches the web.

Which Bible translation does Well Said use?

The King James Version (1769 text).

Can I get only Bible verses?

There’s no verses-only mode. In For You, turn on Bible verses and choose Faith & spirituality to get verses mixed with quotes. To keep one verse on your Home Screen or Lock Screen, save it and pick it in the Single quote widget (subscription). See the Bible verse widget guide.

Can I add my own quotes?

Yes. In Write, type a quote, a verse, or your own words and who said it, and it goes into your Library. Well Said can’t scan book pages or import Kindle highlights.

A quote or attribution looks wrong.

AI results can be wrong. Email us the quote and what looks off, and we’ll look into it. Write to help@well-said.app.

Widgets and notifications

How do I add a widget?

Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Well Said. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold it, tap Customize, choose the Lock Screen, then tap the area below the clock. For You works within the free allowance. Library and Single quote need a subscription.

Why am I not getting notifications?

Check that notifications are on for Well Said in your iPhone or iPad Settings → Notifications, and that you’ve set a schedule under Settings → Notifications in the app. Apple delivers them, so Focus modes and Low Power Mode can delay them.

Privacy

Is my data used to train AI?

No. Find, Ask, and For You send your requests to OpenAI, which doesn’t use them to train its models. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what is sent and kept.
